Description
While often overshadowed by it’s neighbor Kona to the Northwest, the Ka’u district of Hawaii’s big island also produces some of the finest Hawaiian coffee available. The excellence of Ka’u coffee comes from the richness of the volcanic soil that provides the ideal nutrients to promote healthy plant growth. The trees are grown at 2100′ (640m) above sea level in the Wood Valley area, which gives them the perfect amount of sun, wind, and rain to thrive. This unique atmosphere is what gives Hawaiian coffee its amazing flavor. This Prime Grade coffee has wonderful chocolate, floral and citrus notes, with a smooth, low acidity finish.
**NOTE** Sold only in one-pound increments, but we’ll divide it into (2) half-pound bags upon request.
